Scottburgh’s Blue Marlin is making waves as an all-inclusive seascape

The Blue Marlin Hotel near Scottburgh, on KwaZulu-Natal’s South Coast, has reopened — this time as the Blue Marlin All-Inclusive Seascape, the first of its kind in the area. The iconic hotel, owned by Dream Hotels & Resorts, has made extensive renovations to its spa, pool, dining and entertainment areas and developed a comprehensive all-inclusive offering, securing its position as one of the most sought-after properties in the area.

Visitors can look forward to the same level of quality they might expect from large international resorts, but at a price point accessible to South African travellers.

“The Blue Marlin All-Inclusive Seascape is the only resort in the region offering an all-inclusive experience where everything is taken care of,” says Goodman Ncobeni, the Blue Marlin All-Inclusive Seascape’s General Manager. “No frills, no fuss and no hidden costs. Whether you’re travelling as a couple, a family, a group of friends, or for work, the new Blue Marlin hits the mark for high-end, affordable holidays along the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast.”

Refurbishments and packages that cater to every need

The new Blue Marlin features:

  • Large outdoor areas, including two new swimming pools (one of which is heated) with rim flow and martini seating, exciting water slides, a new bar, and an outdoor firepit for evening sundowners
  • A beautifully landscaped adventure golf course, as well as a new multipurpose court for sports, a brand-new dive centre, and retail space
  • A multi-age kids’ club, which is headed by a team of experienced and specialised child-care specialist staff, and a teen zone
  • A new adults-only club and relaxation area and a state-of-the-art gym, a spa featuring a steam room, Jacuzzi and an outdoor relaxation area
  • A restaurant and terrace with themed cuisine evenings and entertainment.

And its packages are designed to suit every taste and interest. Comprehensive food and beverage offerings include delectable flavours and themed occasions. And the list of entertainment options for adults, and children of all ages, are endless. From yoga and disco nights, to fishing and ocean safaris, archery and chess, to basketball and volleyball, there’s never a dull moment at the Blue Marlin.

“Our packages include both on and off-site excursions,” Ncobeni adds. “This versatility and flexibility is designed to make the Blue Marlin an ideal choice for anyone looking to manage their budget while enjoying exceptional experiences and services.”

An influx of new and existing guests

KwaZulu-Natal’s South Coast, and Scottburgh in particular, are beloved tourism destinations, known for their natural beauty and seaside charm. The Blue Marlin’s updated design and amenities seek to capitalise on these characteristics, while drawing both repeat guests and new visitors alike. The new property understands that travellers are seeking unique experiences together with the comfort and ease of an all-inclusive offering.

“As we look ahead to the holiday season, we’re delighted that our revamped hotel has received such an enthusiastic response,” says Ncobeni. “We've already seen a strong wave of bookings, with many of our regular guests eager to return and enjoy our new space. There's also been significant interest from first-time visitors, who are eager to experience Scottburgh first-hand.”

As the holiday season gets fully underway, there’s nowhere else to be than soaking up the South Coast sunshine at the brand-new Blue Marlin.
