Over the last 30 years, Dream Hotels & Resorts has operated with our “One Guest” approach where all guests are treated with the highest level of service and are always well taken care of. This enduring value still guides us as we face the difficult task of responding to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) on a national scale.

In this climate, we know travel may not be your first thought, but we want you to know the safety and wellbeing of our guests, employees and associates is our top priority.

Following the announcement of South Africa’s nationwide lockdown, all Dream Hotels & Resorts properties will be closed from midnight on the 26th March until 1 May 2020.

During these challenging and stressful times, we will endeavour to keep vigilant, monitoring the latest developments and updating this announcement section of our website as the situation evolves.

For current bookings:

We recognise that these are unsettling times and our Central Reservations team is working around the clock to ensure we are as flexible as possible with any existing March bookings.

As a reminder, we have adapted our cancellation policy and will not be applying it as per our normal terms and conditions. Guests will be able to defer their bookings within a 12-month period. We will honour bookings based on the seasonality of previous bookings and all future bookings will be subject to availability.

As of tomorrow, all call centre operations & administrative functions will still be handled by our Central Reservations teams who will be online and working from home as they continue to service your future travel needs. This changing work landscape may come with certain operational challenges, but we will endeavour to maintain our quality service. The normal contact numbers apply.

Bookings can be made for any future arrival date until the 11 December 2020 and can be changed or cancelled at no charge up to 72 hours before your scheduled arrival.

For club members:

The 30-day cancellation rule will not apply, and we will give members a full points refund. This will be applicable for all bookings made with check in dates between now and 30 May 2020.

We will continue to provide greater flexibility when planning future travel. Should members want to retain their current bookings (outside of the lockdown period), these will be available at 50% of the normal points charge. We would also like to encourage members to keep any bookings that fall after the 1st of May. Cancellations will be still be accepted up to 72 hours in advance, so there is really no risk in holding out for that planned holiday to escape and reset after the national lockdown.

Making the difficult decision to close our properties temporarily has not been easy on anyone and we wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to our lodge, hotel and resort teams, along with our trade partners and customers for their understanding and continued support.
