What to Know

KwaZulu-Natal is an excellent province to navigate by car and we’d highly recommend renting one from the usual suspects like Avis and Europcar (if you’re not already exploring KZN on your own steam).

When it comes to the weather, KZN boasts a moderate coastal climate, with sizzling summers and warm winters (don’t forget to pack the mozzie spray!). There’s quite a bit of humidity in the air and a fair amount of rainfall in November, but the terrain is always green and well-nourished, making it incredibly easy on the eye.
