The Lagoon is about 8km wide and 27km long and reaching depths of 50 metres. Local markets in Bilene is a must see with fresh produce, a variety of foodstuffs like cashew nuts, fresh fish crabs and prawns as well as locally made clothes.
Boat Launch Slipping
For boating enthusiasts visiting Bilene, there is a launch site and boat ramp nearby. Bilene Lodge staff can assist with details about where and how to go about obtaining a fishing permit, which is required.
